It's favorites time again! April's favorites could easily be called the Eye Edition as most of these products are for the eyes. Let's get right into it...
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette $49.00
It's been talked about on every beauty blog. The gurus have sung its praises on YouTube. It has tons and tons of good reviews... all for good reason. The Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette is phenomenal. You get an assortment of 14 chocolate inspired shades, a great mix of essential neutrals and pops of color. The pigmentation is excellent and each shade blends like a dream. Trust me, the Chocolate Bar palette is a must have and you will not be sorry purchasing this palette.
BONUS: The Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette is made with real cocoa powder, so it smells like chocolate!! Awesome! :-)
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara $23.00
Well... with a name like that, I had to try it! I'm glad that I did because I have fallen in love with this mascara. The BTS mascara features an hourglass shaped wand with extra stiff bristles to give you very full, voluptuous lashes. The formula is a little thick, so if you do any more than three coats it can get a bit clumpy. I've found that BTS doesn't smudge or give me raccoon eyes at the end of the day. That's a big deal for me. Can we just take a moment and appreciate the beautiful, sleek pink packaging? Too Faced Cosmetics is becoming a fast favorite in my makeup bag and the Better Than Sex mascara is a definite repurchase.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner $20.00
I'm still using the deluxe sample that I received with my Sephora order a few months ago. I'm shocked that it hasn't dried out by now. The felt tip on this liner makes application super quick and easy. The shade is a very intense, extremely pigmented black. Perfect for cat eyes and wings!
BONUS: Stila is having 40% off sitewide with the code STILAMOMS40. Ends 5/8/14 at 10 AM PST.
Tarte EmphasEYES for Brows High Definition Eyebrow Pencil $20.00
This has been my staple eyebrow pencil for a few years now... but I strayed, in search of something better. After that bad experience, I came running back to Tarte. The fine tip of this pencil helps to create natural looking brows that don't look too heavy. It also stands up to its waterproof claims and lasts all day long. My brows truly look their best whenever I use this pencil. Needless to say, I won't be straying anymore.
Real Techniques Brushes prices vary
I can't believe that I've done four months of favorites and haven't mentioned the Real Techniques brushes. I use them every time I apply makeup. Created by YouTube guru, Sam Chapman, these brushes are truly amazing. I've washed them several times and they are still intact, super soft and haven't shed at all. The colorful ferrules also serve a purpose: The gold brushes are for face, purple brushes are for the eyes, pink are for finishing touches and the white brushes are a duo fiber collection. One more great thing about the Real Techniques brushes? They're super affordable.
